The Immersive Publishing Intensive: Spring 2012

This five day intensive course will show you everything you need to know to create a world on the VAEO ecosystem, write your book and create the multi-sensory adventure that will enchant people for years to come. From the basics of VAEO architecture, to writing your novel, this course will offer you access to our experienced publishing processes that include music and video creation, as well as publication through the mPowr Publishing house.
The course opens up the VAEO world through an entirely ‘themed’ adventure. This will not only enable you to experience the scope and power of VAEO, but also to unleash ways of expressing your creativity like never before. Over the five days you will have the opportunity to hone your authoring skills, understand the challenges of authoring and discover strategies to overcome them, and to let your playful, magical-self come out to travel the multiple layers of VAEO.
Day one begins with an introduction to VAEO and various social exercises with the VAEO ‘triptychs’. As you share your enchantment with others, you’ll glimpse the magic behind VAEO and how it affects people, sensorily, emotionally, and psychologically. After some revolutionary writing techniques to help you get started on your VAEO world, we then turn our attention to the ‘Tightrope’. The world’s first social gaming VAEO, you will be among the very first people to be invited to Hobb’s Oak Hall to play this magical, mystery game… where the ghosts are not the only thing to go bump in the night!
Once you have experienced how physical products, places, and people can act as gateways to the realms of VAEO, we’ll begin with an intensive programme of writing exercises that will grow your abilities to create a VAEO world. Over the duration of the Intensive you’ll embark on field trips, group creations and personal exercises that will take you to the point where you are ready to write your book, based upon your own, unique world.
At the end of the programme, you will have access to our ongoing mentoring team of VAEO architects, who will guide you through writing your VAEO and the publication of your world through rich virtual content and your physical book title(s).
